Passive Milimeter System
| WaveScan uses passive millimeter wave technology to provide additional levels of flexibility and capability to address challenging personnel screening and object detection requirements. Designed for high throughput inspection, military, Homeland Security and commercial applications, the WaveScan can be used as a stand-off solution or combined with other screening and detection products to provide a fully integrated checkpoint system. The WaveScan passive millimeter wave technology has been proven in government and commercial applications worldwide. The WaveScan gives customers new capabilities and greater return on their existing security investments. |

Key Product Highlights 1 Detects concealed objects in as little as 0.5 seconds 2 Supports walk-through screening 3 Anatomical details not revealed thereby reducing personal privacy concerns of dense items in realtime without lags or delays. 4 Passive system — no transmission of radiation 5 Integrates with remote operation and legacy checkpoint systems 6 Provides standoff detection of large explosives, liquids and gels ![]() Graphical User Interface (GUI) is an easy to understand tool - operators can identify hidden objects without confusion or delay. With training, a WaveScan user can identify and locate hidden objects in realtime by observing event icons and detection boxes on a fullmotion video images. Each event’s video and passive millimeter wave images are digitally archived for later review, analysis, or evidentiary use. The JPEG images stored are millimeter wave images with no anatomical detail, thereby addressing privacy concerns Perimeter Security: For military, Homeland Security and critical infrastructure protection, the WaveScan stand-off and remote operation capabilities allow customers to identify persons approaching a security perimeter with concealed objects – before threats reach the perimeter or security personnel. Integrated Checkpoint: For aviation, military, transportation, courthouse, embassy and other security requirements, the WaveScan ability to rapidly detect a wide range of concealed objects can make checkpoints more effective. Used at the beginning of a checkpoint process, the WaveScan can quickly identify persons who have not divested themselves of concealed objects so that they can be isolated and given additional screening. Customs and Border Control: For customs and border security, the WaveScan allows enforcement personnel to determine whether persons are carrying concealed objects before they leave the control and declaration area. Pilfering, Theft and Smuggling Prevention: The WaveScan can be used to rapidly screen persons as they exit or enter a warehouse, corrections institution, or classified document environment to determine if they are concealing objects ranging from paper to electronics to narcotics. | |
